Bachelor Degree Programs

An applicant seeking admission to any B.Sc. Degree Programs in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical &/or Civil Engineering, B.Sc. Degree Program in Electrical, Mechanical & Civil Engineering Technology, B.Sc.(Honors) Computer Science and Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA) must fulfill the following requirements;

Domicile Certificate

Applicant should be a bonafide resident of the area from where he seeks admission and he should have the Domicile of that particular district and CNIC of applicant or his father containing the permanent or present address of that particular area of domicile. For the Candidates applying on Baluchistan seats, the domicile certificate of the father showing the candidate as his son/daughter of less than 21 years of agemust be attached.

Medical Fitness

Applicant should meet the requirement of the health & eye sight as prescribed in Medical Certificate. (Medical Certificate will be provided to the admitted candidates only)

Age Restrictions

There is no age restriction for applicants seeking admission to any Bachelor / Master Degree programs.

Gender Discrimination

Both males & females are eligible to apply against any category except category ‘J’ which is reserved for female applicants only.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc. Engineering, Technology & Computer Science Programs

a) UET Combined Entry Test

Applicants should have appeared in the entry test arranged by UET for that particular academic session in which he seeks admission. Candidates who wish to apply under reserved quota for other than Punjab province can also appear in the entry test conducted by engineering universities of their own provinces or valid NAT test conducted by National Testing Services of Pakistan (NTS) for that particular academic session in which he seeks admission. The results of required entry test must be submitted on or before the dead line of submission of application forms for admission at NFC-IE&FR.

b) F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering) or Equivalent

Applicants should have passed the Intermediate Examination with Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics (Pre-Engineering) from Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Pakistan or equivalent examination recognized by UET Lahore.

However, Intermediate Examination with Physics, Mathematics, (Computer Science or Statistics) shall be acceptable only for admission in B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science.

Applicants should have obtained at least 60% marks in F.Sc./DAE/B.Sc. examination excluding Sports/Hafiz-e-Quran or any other grace marks.

Applicants should have at least 50% overall adjusted admission marks computed by giving 70% weight to F.Sc/I.CS/DAE/B.Sc examination results and 30% to university entry test 2018 results:

Those waiting for their results may also apply with intermediate Part-I result. However, the intermediate/A-level or equivalent result of Part-II with at least 60% marks is required within 15 days after declaration of intermediate results by respective boards.

(F.Sc./DAE Obtained marks x 70) / (F.Sc./DAE Total marks) + (Entry Test Obtained marks x 30) / (Entry Test Total marks)

c) Equivalent Examinations

The Institute recognizes the following examinations as equivalent to the Intermediate Examination (Pre-Engineering) with Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics from the Pakistani Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education:

Intermediate Examination (Pre-Engineering) from the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Azad Kashmir;

Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics;

British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject.

American High School Graduation Diploma (12th Grade) or equivalent.

Note:Equivalence of certificate up to higher secondary school certificate (HSSC)/Intermediate Level.

The determination of equivalence and issuance of equivalent certificate up to HSSC level for certificates other than those issued by Pakistan’s Boards is the jurisdiction of the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) as per decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.Such applicants are required to attach an equivalence certificate shown marks with the application for admission issued by IBCC.The following are the addresses of the IBCC offices:

d) Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE)

For the admission against seats reserved for the holders of Diploma of Associate Engineer,the candidate should have passed/appear in diploma 3rd year examination from a Board of Technical Education in the relevant technology. Applicants holding a Diploma of Associate Engineer,DAE,can apply against their reserved seats in relevant technology only.Applicants for B.Sc Engineering programs can not apply other than “K” category.

Applicants seeking admission against seats reserved for the holders of Diploma of Associate Engineer shall not be eligible unless their diploma are in the relevant technology as specified against each degree course given below.

A candidate having diploma in any other technology shall not be eligible for admission.

e) Bachelor of Sciences (B.Sc.)

Applicants should have passed F. Sc. (Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical with additional mathematics) examinations with 60% marks.

For admission in B.Sc. Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering and Engineering Technology programs & B.Sc. Computer Science, Applicants must have passed the B.Sc. examinations with Physics & Mathematics with 60% marks.

For admission in B.Sc. Chemical Engineering;

Applicants who have passed F. Sc. (Pre-Engineering) they must have passed the B. Sc. examination with Chemistry with 60% marks.
Applicants who have passed F. Sc. (Pre-Medical with additional Mathematics) they must have passed B.Sc. with Mathematics & Chemistry with 60% marks.
